Posters that set the mood
A series of posters for company events, each one designed to capture the spirit of its theme and get people excited to show up.
- FOR
- Staff events and client events
- MY ROLE
- Solo designer, concept to final
- WHAT I MADE
- Event posters, email campaign design
- THEMES
- Retro disco, masquerade, magic show, all blue
The brief
Every company event had its own theme, and each one needed a poster that made people want to be there. Most were strictly for staff, but the virtual magic show was for our clients and went out as an email campaign.
What I did
I built each poster around its theme, so the poster alone told people what kind of night to expect.
Who it was for changed my approach. The staff posters could lean all the way into the fun, while the client poster had to stay on brand, look polished, and work just as well in an inbox as it did at full size.
How it went
The posters got lots of positive feedback. People loved the designs, and the events had a great turnout.
What I learned: internal posters are the best creative playground. When the audience is your own coworkers, you can take bigger swings, and a fun design is the difference between “maybe” and “see you there.”
