My own creative playground, away from the corporate grids. I handle every step of these Instagram reels, from setting up the shots and filming the footage to the edit and sound design, and I use them to test new motion and storytelling ideas for myself.

The brief
No client and no brief, just one question: what actually stops the scroll? These reels are where I experiment with new techniques and storytelling styles.
What I did
I’m obsessed with the rhythm of a video, so every cut and transition is timed to land right on the beat of the music. I plan the shots and film the raw footage, then bring it all together in CapCut, working through the edit and sound design until the transitions feel like magic.
How it went
These reels got a lot of love, with plenty of comments, likes and shares from people who clearly enjoyed watching them. I had just as much fun making them, from planning each shot to nailing the final edit. I’m always finding fresh inspiration in popular Instagram reels, and I love putting my own spin on the trends I want to try out next.
What I learned: my creativity doesn’t clock out at five. Taking the lead on my own projects keeps my ideas fresh and my skills sharp, and honestly, it’s some of the most fun I have as a creator.
